On Friday, November 8th, at the Sheraton at Woodbridge Place, three of New Jersey's leading business organizations joined together to honor the best in academic business research at the First Annual "Bright Ideas for Business" Award Breakfast.

Co-sponsoring the event were Seton Hall's Skillman School of Business, New Jersey Business magazine and the NJPRO Foundation, the public policy affiliate of the New Jersey Business & Industry Association.

In the audience were leaders from New Jersey's academic community, including award winners from Rutgers, the College of New Jersey, NJIT, Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU) and Rider University.

Each attendee received the volume "Bright Ideas for Business" containing abstracts of the more than 100 articles submitted for award consideration. Awards were given in the following categories: Competitive Marketplace, Auditing, Product Marketing, E-Commerce, Tax Issues and Historical Research. Evaluators included Dean Milton Leontiades (Rutgers-Camden), Dean Edward Schoen (Rowan University) and Dean David Steele (FDU).
