NJPRO Foundation, the public policy research affiliate of the New Jersey Business & Industry Association (NJBIA), will hold a reception entitled “Legislative Leaders: Saluting New Jersey’s Assemblywomen” on Tuesday, March 21, 2006, at The Marriott at Lafayette Yard in Trenton. The event will begin immediately following Governor Jon Corzine’s budget address (approximately 2:30 p.m.).
Members of the press are invited to attend. Assembly Speaker Joseph Roberts and Republican Leader Alex DeCroce will assist in the presentation of the awards. Excellent photo opportunities will be available.
Charlene Brown, vice president of New Jersey government affairs for AT&T and chair of the NJPRO Foundation Board of Trustees, will serve as master of ceremonies.
“New Jersey’s Assemblywomen are a force to be reckoned with,” Brown said. “They have distinguished themselves with their outstanding contributions to the New Jersey Legislature and to the people they represent. It is with great pride that we at NJPRO host this special event to recognize their growing influence.”
