is the deputy director of the New Jersey Policy Research
Organization and the director of Education Policy for the New Jersey
Business & Industry Association. Mr. Emigholz has a strong background
in education and is excited to use that to aid the Foundation in
its Middle School Curriculum goals as well as its day-to-day researching
needs.
Emigholz holds
a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in History and Political
Science from Johns Hopkins University and a Master of Public Policy
degree with dual concentrations in education policy and urban policy
from Rutgers’ Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy.
Emigholz was
a high school social studies teacher through Teach For America in
Atlanta Public Schools where he almost doubled the percentage of
passing students at Booker T. Washington Comprehensive High School
in Atlanta on the social studies portion of the Georgia Graduation
Test and was voted Stellar Teacher in 2001. He also worked as a
committee aide/research associate for the NJ Senate Republican Office
and staffed the Senate Education Committee and the Senate Community
& Urban Affairs Committee.
